Network Inventory

Centennial Discovery provides a full network inventory, with an automated audit of all PCs, servers and workstations across the IT estate.

Network Inventory and hardware audit charts

Discovery performs a network inventory of all IP-addressable devices, including a full hardware audit of Windows PCs, Unix servers and other types of workstation. The network inventory also covers network printers, switches, wi-fi points and other devices.

More Than Just PC Inventory - Total Hardware Audit

When performing a network inventory and hardware audit, Centennial Discovery will automatically find all devices on the network, even if they have not been previously recorded through a manual audit.

Network inventory by device type

In addition to Windows PCs, Centennial Discovery’s patent-pending LANProbe technology tracks every IP device on the network including:

  • Mobile devices (Windows CE)
  • Non-Windows PCs (Mac OSX, Citrix, Linux)
  • Servers (Windows, Unix, Linux, AIX, Solaris)
  • Network printers
  • Routers and managed switches
  • Firewalls and other SNMP-enabled network devices

And it’s not just local PCs and devices that are audited; Discovery will automatically create a complete network inventory of the entire organization, including LAN, WAN and even remote dial-up connections.
